1. specification
Star filter bags (Star bags) and Star filter cages (Star Cages) are special design to extend the filter surface. They are designed and developed to be integrated into existing system and process without requiring costly and major equipment changes. Pleated/star filter bags have received a considerable amount of attention due to their higher filtration area compared to that of cylindrical filter bags. They can be used to increase both the filtration efficiency and dust holding capacity, as it is possible to decrease the filtration velocity when using the same amount of exhaust gas. The effective filtration area of pleated/star filter bags increases up to 140% in pulse-jet bag house systems, comparing with those of a cylindrical filter bag.
2. The Match of Star bags and Cages
Star filter cages are special designed to fit star bags, which is not like ordinary ones with tigh match. Star cages is a kind of loose match of star bags, which is good for deashing.

3. Features:
Polyester needle felt is the most versatile, most cost effective and most widely used filter medium for dust collection. It is strong, abrasion resistant, can work up to 150°C and has good resistance to common acids, solvents and oxidising agents.
Polyester's only real weakness is a tendency to hydrolyse at elevated temperature which means that moisture can break down the fibres and cause them to revert to their basic constituents. This results in powdering of the fibres and a serious loss of strength.
