1. The Match of Star bags and Cages
The filter pleat/star bags have bands to hold the star-shape stable and to prevent the filter bag from expanding too much during the pulse-jet or reverse air cleaning cycle. The bands are placed around the filter star/pleat bag and calculated intervals along the length of the bag, normally 250mm distance. The smaller circumference of the band is co-related to the large circumference of the filter element by setting points at regular lengths on both the band as well as the bag. The points of star bags are joined together by sewing, gluing, welding or other techniques.
Star filter cages are special designed to fit star bags, which is not like ordinary ones with tigh match. Star cages is a kind of loose match of star bags, which is good for deashing.

1) Polypropylene is attacked by UV light, and will dimensionally deform under unsupported load over 82℃
2) PPS is attacked by strong oxidising agents (O2, NOx, Br2) – the presence of which, lower its recommended operating temperature
3) P84 is attacked by Sox in power station applications
4) PTFE will elongate under load at elevated temperature
