Star filter bags (Star bags) is named pleat bag, extend filter surface bag too. The Star bags are designed and developed to be integrated into existing system and process without requiring costly and major equipment changes.The filter pleat/star bags are open on the top and closed on the bottom. The bottom can be closed in various ways --tied-off, with metal clamps, with folds sewn flat, inserting a bottom circle or other methods. The stop of the star/pleat bag is not star-shaped but cylindrical, meaning that it is finished off, as desired, as conventional filter bags, with snap band rings with double-beaded gasketing, felt strips, rings or other conventional installation methods. The open top of star/pleat bag can therefore be made to fit any standard cell plate and gasketing size. The filter star/pleat bag material applicable is many fold and may be needled felt, non-woven, woven material, warp-knitted, circular-knitted fabric also out of micro-filament yarn, fiberglass and/or metal fabrics. The length and diameter of the filter pleat/star bag is variable in accordance with the needs in line with the filter housing dimensions.

Star filter cages are special designed to fit star bags, which is not like ordinary ones with tigh match. Star cages is a kind of loose match of star bags, which is good for deashing.
